Unique two-day winter experience in Slovenian mountains. Backcountry skiing, under guidance of experienced mountain guides. Learning about safe practicing of mountaineering and other outdoor activities in winter conditions. Warm meals, drinks and latest outdoor winter equipment tests, all under supervision of qualified mountain guides.



Winter adventure weekend is mainly having good time on snow and ice in the middle of Triglav national park. Main reason for our socializing is getting acquainted with winter mountaineering and other winter outdoor activities no matter if you are a beginner or experienced mountaineer. Besides this there will be the latest winter outdoor equipment for testing, getting fammiliar with dangers in mountains at winter time and prevention. Therefore we will learn how to use avalanche beacon, testing snow and types of snowfall, learn about avalanches and weather at winter time etc. First day is intended for learning and trying new things and the second day we will go on a full-day trip. Part of the group will go skiing, others climbing or trekking.

There was a time when mountains in winter time were inaccessible for most of us. Those times have passed and nowadays winter activities like ice climbing, backcountry skiing and winter mountaineering attract more and more people. Triglav winter ascent

For a fit walker Triglav is a safe mountain to reach in the summer time, but during the winter it demands an experienced mountaineer. You will reach the summit in a two day trip with experienced mountain guide and full technical equipment. This is a winter experience that you will never forget!





In winter time the safest and easiest way to approach Triglav is from Krma valley. On our way to the summit we reach the Triglav mountain refuge (2515m) where we spend the night. In winter the refuge is operating at it's minimum, but we will be well served by meteorologists, doing their job at the highest meteorological station in Slovenia.



Triglav winter ascent is a perfect combination of alpine climbing and winter hiking, making it a pure pleasure for every nature loving mountaineer. But for the pleasure to be complete, it is expected to be in a good physical shape.
